Putting the carnival flags up in Holyrood Street

With the Street Fayre less than 2 weeks away now, the Chard Carnival committee met at 10am this morning at the back of the Guild Hall to put the flags and posters up around the town centre.

First order of the day was to get the flag poles down from the attic.

A further forty minutes or so was taken, Removing the jubilee flags and replacing them with the carnival flags.

The group then split into two and one headed to Holyrood Street, the other to Fore Street.

It took two hours to go up and down Holyrood Street putting flags up over the shops.

Meanwhile the other team were in Fore Street hard at work putting up the posters.

Back in Holyrood street, We found one we missed on route.

Zoe's turn up the ladder.

And around 2pm - 4 hours after we started, We all met at the corner of Holyrood Street.

The Carnival Committee is doing it's bit to ensure the future of Chard Carnival.
